In the mail cont...

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend.
We had a great time finishing our weeks  learning about the post office and where mail goes.

One of the creative art  activities for the funshine activities last week was making these cute postal carriers visors. The girls loved wearing them.

So sometimes I have to let the control side of me let loose. For example, I had the mailboxes all set up in post office station and the friends were enjoying it and having fun. The next day, the novelty kinda was wearing off and so Lena decided to take the plastic figurines and put them in the mailbox to pretend it was their  hiding  spot.  Play is so important and using their is imagination is so important so I embraced the moment and let the imagination take off.

The shape and the color of the month in funshine curriculm is a heart and pink.  Fine motor is such a important step in development. Stickers are great for fine motor with all the peeling and sticking.
The kids used their fingers and stick heart stickers on a heart.

This game was the math game in the curriculm this month. The cards had numbers in them and the little mailboxes I front of the houses also have little numbers. Match the numbers and that is that. It was fun and the friends played it several times .

We had a hoot of a time making out owl bags. I also added rose petals and heart erasers and heart cookie cutters in a tub for a sensory table.
One of the other activities in the funshine curriculm was looking for different eyes and cutting them out and comparing them. We discussed the eye color, the size, the length of the eyelashes.

These heart glasses were the cutest prop for such a cute picture.
That wraps up our in the mail theme
And are ready to jump into I am healthy.
